Watch Kingpin: The Asiong Salonga Story Full Movie: is a 2011 Filipino film that follows the life of Nicasio “Asiong” Salonga, Public Enemy Number 1 in Tondo, Manila. The film is set in the 1950s, when Asiong Salonga jumpstarts the Asian gangster life in the Philippines. The movie is directed by Tikoy Aguiluz and starring George Estregan Jr., Carla Abellana, Phillip Salvador, and Baron Geisler.
The movie, entirely in black and white, is a biopic based on the life of Nicasio Rodriguez Salonga also known as Asiong Salonga, who was public enemy number one during his time.
Laguna governor ER Ejercito, who plays the title role, usding his screen name Jeorge estregan says filming in black and white was done to capture the look of the ganster films of Asiong’s era, the post-World War II period from the late 1940s to the early 1950s.
